Dote Racing to Compete at Cordova, Il World Drag Racing 

 

 Dote Racing, who joined forces with Doug Foley will attend the World Series of Drag Racing on August 28 with both of their team cars.  “We carry both cars to every event and had the opportunity to knock the dust off of our new Murf McKinney car and who better than Spencer Massey, who had much success last year as the pilot for Don Prudhome racing to run side by side with Doug.  This is a good opportunity to get both of our cars some runs in preparation for the largest event of the season, Mac Tools US Nationals, which the team plans on attending.” Said Mike Dote.  To have my two cars  invited to attend an event where the Pedregon brothers and Tim Wilkerson and his son Daniel have competed for years is an honor for a new team like ours.

Dote Racing Looking Forward to First Event

After many months of preparing, the Dote Top Fuel Team is on its way to compete at The Tire Kingdom NHRA GatorNationals in Gainesville, FL for their first professional race.

“We are extremely excited to finally be getting out there," said Mike Dote.  "This has been a long time in the making, my family and I have been speaking with Doug since June of last year, and I have been planning this in my mind for many years prior to that.  I wanted to make sure when we moved forward with this, we were proud of what we created.  We feel like we have made the right decisions over the last 9 months in preparation for our first season.  I didn’t realize the planning that is involved in creating a top caliber team, but with Doug Foley and Doug Kuch’s guidance, I think we are well on our way.”   

After a successful testing session in Phoenix earlier this year, the team feels very confident that they will make a good showing in Gainesville.  This will be the first of many outings with the car for the 2010 season.  With long time NHRA Top Fuel Driver Doug Foley behind the wheel and veteran tuner Doug Kuch calling the shots, things are looking good.  "We have a great group of guys working on this car and feel that we are well prepared for the season."
